Program Information
Faulkner Recovery and Empowerment Expansion for Community (FREE-C) is a new community coalition being organized by Faulkner County Drug Court.
The project aims to create a whole-person, community-based network for people with substance use disorders (SUD) in Faulkner County that provides a supportive environment for the treatment and recovery of justice involved individuals that struggle with SUDs.

Resources We Offer:
- Peer Support
Trained Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) with lived experience provide one-on-one mentoring, advocacy, and connection to resources.
- Recovery and Mental Health Resources
Connection to substance use and mental health services, including naloxone access and training and trauma-informed care referrals.
- Substance Use Treatment Resources
We connect individuals with substance use treatment, including medication-assisted treatment and other treatment pathways.
- Health Care Assistance
Help navigating and identifying care options, finding primary and behavioral health care, and understanding health-related needs and resources.
- Education and Employment Support
Connection to resume building, job search help, interview prep, and referrals to job training, GED programs, and career pathways.
- Transportation Assistance
FREE-C helps to navigate and identify transportation options to critical services, job interviews, treatment, and more.
- Housing Support
FREE-C helps to navigate and identify support for justice-involved individuals in securing safe, temporary housing.
- Basic Needs Assistance
Help identifying resources for food, clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials that support successful reentry and/or recovery.
- Resource Fairs and Community Events
Opportunities to meet with service providers, build support networks, and learn about available services in your area.
- System Navigation for Providers
Training and support for healthcare and community organizations on how to better serve justice-involved individuals.
