ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Alan Mease, M.D.

Dr. Alan Mease is a pediatrician in Little Rock, Arkansas. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Dr. Mease is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, completed his residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He also holds board certifications with the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.

Prior to joining eQHealth, Dr. Mease served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health Behavior and Health Education at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Medical Director, Child and Adolescent Health for the Arkansas Department of Health. He also has more than 30 years clinical experience with the U.S. Army (both active and inactive duty) and extensive experience in pediatric clinical practice both in the United States and in China. Additionally, Dr. Mease dedicated himself to research early in his career spanning a variety of topics including experimental pathology, allergy and infectious disease and was on the forefront of telemedicine research serving as the director of what is now known as the Army’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) South. Lastly, Dr. Mease has published extensively on many pediatric topics.
