This informational webinar offers primary care clinicians and practice stakeholders an introductory look into foundational considerations for selecting models of integrated behavioral healthcare to best serve a target patient population. Participants learn how to define integrated care and utilize a conceptual framework to direct service selection and effective care delivery. We discuss integrated models commonly utilized in the United States, with emphasis on Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) and Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). Using a real-life narrative example of cross-model integrated care delivery, participants explore the advantages and pitfalls to selecting care models for a given practice environment.

Laura Sidari, M.D.

Dr. Sidari is a board-certified General Psychiatrist and serves as director for Cayuga Integrated Behavioral Health (CIBH), which makes available integrated behavioral healthcare to tens of thousands of patients across Cayuga Health’s multi-site primary care network. She leads a multi-professional behaviorist team that provides Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) and Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) services within affiliate primary care practices. She also offers nationwide technical consulting as a member of Sidari Consultants, LLC, with an emphasis on psychiatric consultation workforce development and mentorship.
