As Arkansas continues to face challenges in accessing timely behavioral healthcare, innovative approaches are needed to improve patient outcomes and strengthen the behavioral health system of care. Join us for an informative webinar exploring the impact of psychiatric inpatient bed shortages and emergency department boarding on patients, healthcare professionals, and healthcare costs. This session will examine opportunities to improve access and coordination of care, including evidence supporting EMS direct admission and diversion pathways for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. Participants will also be introduced to the potential use of behavioral health dashboards to track outcomes, improve patient flow, and support more efficient coordination between emergency medical services and emergency departments. Discover how collaboration, innovative care pathways, and data-driven strategies can help shape the future of behavioral healthcare in Arkansas.
