Speaker: Justin Hunt, M.D., MS

Dr. Hunt presents on the implementation of the Collaborative Care model across 186 Oak Street Health (OSH) primary care centers in 25 states and the benefits of having an up-front capitated, full-risk model for primary care. In addition, he discusses recent work at OSH in reaction to the results of the SPIRIT study–tackling more severe presentations, including Bipolar Disorder and PTSD, through the Collaborative Care Model.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Justin Hunt, M.D., MS

Dr. Hunt is the Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Oak Street Health. Previously, he was Medical Director and Head of Psychiatry at Ginger.io, an on- demand mental health system. Dr. Hunt has contributed significantly to academia and the VA through various leadership roles and served as VP and Medical Director of Value Options, Inc. Arkansas Service Center. With a focus on health policy, he collaborated with government agencies and consulting firms on mental health initiatives. Dr. Hunt’s dedication extends to research, where he led projects funded by the DOD and NIMH, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. His passion lies in integrating behavioral health into primary care and fostering seamless collaboration between PCPs, therapists, and psychiatrists.
