Speakers: Kate Rhames, LCSW, Julie Batson, LCSW
Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) Suicide Prevention Coordinator Kate Rhames and Community Engagement Partnership Coordinators Julie Batson and Stacie Buonaura will review key elements of suicide prevention in the Veteran population. Resources will be provided to aid in direct care workers in best connecting a former service member with VA and have a discussion regarding safe and secure storage of lethal means. Presenters will also provide education about the Veterans Crisis Line.

Kate Rhames, LCSW
Kate Rhames is a licensed clinical social worker based in Fayetteville, AR, USA. She has focused her studies and career in working with older populations. She received her BA in social sciences from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2007 and her MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at City University of New York in 2012.
Julie Batson, LCSW
Julie Batson, LCSW currently serves as the Community Engagement Partnership Coordinator at VHSO. She has been licensed in Missouri with 20 years of professional work experience. She has experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. She believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
